Thornapple River Group is hosting a Derby Celebration with a special appearance by Kentucky native and Food Network star Damaris Phillips May 4 at the 21c Hotel Museum in Louisville, Kentucky. Proceeds will benefit the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation Farm at the Blackburn Correctional Center in Lexington, Kentucky. The night will feature whiskey and food pairings, entertainment and a silent auction.
“All the elements for this Derby Party have a special southern yet modern flair.” said Event Chair, Heidi Hilton of Thornapple River Group. “We can't wait to be with Damaris, who will share her local and delicious whiskey and food pairings and we have planned really fun contests that will raise funds for this important cause. This will be an event to remember.”
The event will also include numerous raffle prizes with a chance to win a tour of Ashford stud and a visit with Horse of the Year American Pharoah (Pioneerof the Nile). Several prizes will also be presented for the best dressed couple and the best Derby hat.
