MOUNTAIN BELL (GB) (f, 3, Mount Nelson {GB}–Shenir {GB}, by Mark of Esteem {Ire}, sent off the 6-4 joint favourite on the basis of her debut second over an extended mile at Windsor in October, was in front initially before taking a lead throughout the early stages. Taking control again with a half mile remaining, the €46,000 BBAGS yearling who has a yearling half-sister by Sixties Icon (GB) stretched clear to record a resounding 10-length win, eased down. “She's been working like that and we feel that she'll handle better ground and even be better, as she's a good-moving filly,” jockey Oisin Murphy said. Ralph Beckett added, “Her work has always been better than expected and she'll go in the Oaks tomorrow when it closes. She could run in a trial at Lingfield or York now.” Lifetime Record: 2-1-1-0, $5,575. Video, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
