Returning with a slew of fast works for this allowance test, Zayat Stables' colt broke on top and pulled his way to a clear lead in the early stages. He was kept well off the rail while rattling off a quarter in :22.09, kicked further clear under no urging until passing a :44.57 half-mile, at which point he was set down by Martin Pedroza. A brief challenge came to their inside in deep stretch from Mrazek (Square Eddie), but the roan colt easily held off that bid for a 1 1/2-length score in a sharp 1:08.46.
