Birchwood Confirmed For Poulains

Godolphin's Birchwood (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}), the winner of last year's G2 Superlative S., is set to make his seasonal debut in Sunday's G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains (French 2000 Guineas) at Deauville. The Richard Fahey charge rounded out his juvenile campaign with a pair of Grade/Group 1 thirds: in the Goffs Vincent O'Brien National S. and the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.

“We've taken our time with him this spring, but he's ready to roll now and we're looking forward to running him in France this weekend,” Fahey told sportinglife.com.
