A colt (hip 21) by Medaglia d'Oro led the way early at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale Monday. Knocked down for $600,000 on the bid of Mike Recio for an undisclosed client, he was consigned by Cary Frommer, Agent II. Out of the Lemon Drop Kid mare Kid Majic, the bay is a half-brother to MGSP Miss Mischief (Into Mischief). Bred by H. Allen Poindexter in Kentucky, his dam is a half to GISW J P's Gusto (Successful Appeal). This is the extended family of champion and GI Kentucky Oaks heroine Proud Spell (Proud Citizen).
