Overseas Options For Guineas Winner

Adrian Keatley | Racing Post

Sunday's G1 Irish 1000 Guineas winner Jet Setting (Ire) (Fast Company {Ire}) could just live up to her name later this year, with trainer Adrian Keatley revealing he has a pair of Grade I races in North America mind for his stable star.

Keatley noted that Royal Ascot's G1 Coronation S. is next on the agenda for Jet Setting, and he also nominated the GI Flower Bowl Invitational at Belmont Oct. 8 and Woodbine's GI EP Taylor S. Oct. 16 as targets for the 3-year-old.

“Ascot is the next option and if there's ease in the ground she'll run there–even good ground would be fine,” the conditioner said. “We'll take it one race at a time, but even before Sunday we were looking at possibly taking her to America later in the year. There's the Flower Bowl Invitational at Belmont and a couple of weeks later there's the EP Taylor up at Woodbine. David Wachman ran Curvy in both races last year and it was something we've had in mind for a while, as you can get some juice in the ground out there at that time of the year.”

Keatley said Jet Setting exited her career-best win in fine form.

“There's not a bother on her after the race–she's in great form,” he said. “It was an unbelievable day and I don't think there was any fluke about it. The best filly on the day won.”
