Arqana's three-day Summer Sale begins Wednesday at the Elie de Brignac complex in Deauville. The 375 lots in the initial catalogue include 84 flat-bred 2-year-olds; 79 2- and 3-year-old store horses, two stallion prospects, 66 broodmares and fillies and 144 horses-in-training for the flat and jumps.
All but one of the 15 wildcard slots for the sale were filled in recent weeks. The wildcards include lot 200, Khatereh (GB) (Galileo {Ire}), an unraced full-sister to Group 2 winner Kitewood (GB) and Group 2-placed Odeon (GB); and lot 335, Mahari (Ire) (Duke Of Marmalade {Ire}), a 3-year-old colt who is a winner over 11 and 12 furlongs this season as well as being stakes-placed for trainer Andre Fabre.
