+LET IT RIDE MOM (f, 2, Into Mischief–Golden Marlin {GSW, $389,667}, by Marlin) took all the pari-mutuel action to be off as the 7-4 favorite at first asking in Saturday's second race at Woodbine and duly obliged with a comfortable victory. Partnered with Patrick Husbands, the bay was away without incident from the outside in gate seven and settled comfortably in a handy third into the turn. Given her cue three furlongs from home, she picked up the pacesetter nicely, was roused into a clear lead leaving the eighth pole and came away to score by a three-quarters of a length. Tapa Tapa Tapa (Tapit) ran on late to complete the exacta. Purchased by Woodford Sales for $77,000 out of the 2015 Keeneland September sale, Let It Ride Mom breezed an eighth of a mile in a slick :9 4/5 (video) and was hammered down to Charlotte Weber's operation for $375,000 at this year's OBS March Sale, the third highest-priced juvenile for her sire in 2016. The winner's dam was a three-time black-type winner, including the 2003 GIII Dogwood S. at Churchill Downs. Her most recent produce is a yearling colt by Arch. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $25,856.
