MOIETY (f, 3, Bernardini–Be Happy {Brz} {Ch. 2yo Filly & Ch. 3yo Filly-Brz, G1SW-Brz}, by Ghadeer {Fr}) aired by four lengths in front-running style over track and trip here July 8, and was 2-1 to clear her next condition here after storms in the area forced the first race on the card to be cancelled. Off a half-step slowly from her rail draw, the Sheikh Mohammed homebred rushed up to show the way while a bit keen through splits of :22.75 and :46.58. Mia Torri (General Quarters) ranged up to challenge the frontrunner at the top of the lane, but she just wouldn't relinquish her lead and dug deep to find the line a half-length to the good in 1:17.20. The winner's second dam Honey Chris (Apollon {Brz}) was also a solid performer in Brazil, winning two Group 2s and hitting the board in four Group 1 events. Be Happy most recently produced a Temple City colt in 2015. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $35,040. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
