Picked up for $255,000 at last year's Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale, Matthew Schera's Recoil is out of a daughter of blue hen Meghan's Joy (A.P. Indy). She produced the likes of MGSW & GISP Ironicus (Distorted Humor); GSWs Norumbega (Tiznow), Hunting (Coronado's Quest) and Quiet Harbor (Silver Deputy); SW Seal Cove (Strong Hope); and the dam of GSW Onus (Blame). Gainesway Stable went to $450,000 at the Keeneland September sale to acquire CHERRY LODGE (Bernardini). The Todd Pletcher pupil is a full-sister to GSW Gala Award; and a half to GI Hollywood Futurity winner Stormello (Stormy Atlantic) and GSW My Best Brother (Stormy Atlantic). Christophe Clement unveils Gulf (Blame) in this spot for Adele Dilschneider and Claiborne Farm. The $175,000 FTSAUG buy is out of an unraced daughter of Matlacha Pass (Seeking Gold), who also produced MGISWs Point of Entry (Dynaformer) and Pine Island (Arch). This is also the family of GI Breeders' Cup Distaff heroie Pleasant Home (Seeking the Gold). Wesley Ward bred Tickety Boo (Giant's Causeway) and now trains her on behalf of the Coolmore contingent. Untouched Talent, a $5-million acquisition by Coolmore's M.V. Magnier at the 2012 Fasig-Tipton November sale while in foal to Unbridled's Song, is a daughter of MGSW Parade Queen (A.P. Indy) and a half-sister to GSP “TDN Rising Star” Top Billing (Curlin). Runners from the Christophe Clement barn can never be overlooked, especially on turf, and Robert S. Evans homebred Joust (War Front) is no exception. The bay is out of the unraced Queen's Play, who has four other foals, all of which have won, including SP Attendant (More Than Ready). Queen's Play is out of GSW Colonial Play (Pleasant Colony), a full-sister to champion Pleasant Stage and the dam of MGISW Marsh Side (Gone West).
