Inglis have catalogued 255 juveniles for their Ready2Race Sale in Sydney Oct. 4 with the breeze-ups taking place on grass at Cranbourne, Victoria Sept. 6 and Canterbury, Sydney Sept. 9. ”The commitment of vendors to build an exceptional breeze up sale in Australia is clearly evident in the 2016 Inglis Ready2Race Sale and we are delighted to offer a platform on which the abilities of these young racehorses can be displayed,” said Jonathan D'Arcy, Inglis' National Bloodstock Director. “The 2-year-olds will be filmed galloping on the respective grass course proper at Cranbourne and Canterbury, with the last 200 metres of their gallops electronically timed. All potential buyers are welcome at both breeze up days, while approximately 45 seconds of footage of each horse will be made available for viewing online and via DVDs and USBs a few days later,” D'Arcy added.
The catalogue is certainly not short on quality with Australia's top 15 stallions of last season all represented. Also featured are progeny from 27 stakes winning mares including lot 198 a High Chaparral (Ire) (Sadler's Wells) colt out of Group 1 winner Dashing Eagle (Aus) (Danehill) and lot 245, a colt by Fastnet Rock (Aus) (Danehill) out of similar top level winner Invest (Aus) (Dehere). One juvenile not from a stakes winning mare that should also grab the attention is lot 231 from Boneo Horse Ranch. This filly by Choisir (Aus) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) is out of Haiku (Aus) (Encosta De Lago {Aus}) making her a full-sister to top class sprinter Japonisme (Aus). In addition to that filly there are 23 full or half relations to stakes winners and 23 stakes place getters. The catalogue is available online while hard copies can be requested by emailing catalogue@inglis.com.au.
