A week after missing the heavy-ground G2 Missile S. at Royal Randwick, 'TDN Rising Star' Capitalist (Aus) (Written Tycoon {Aus}) makes a much-anticipated return to the races as the overwhelming favorite in Saturday's G3 San Domenico S. (1100m) at Rosehill Gardens.
The facile winner of the first three starts of his career, including the valuable Magic Millions 2YO Classic in January, the chestnut suffered a shock defeat in the G2 Todman S. in early March, but made amends with 2.3-length defeat of subsequent G1 Sires' Produce S. victrix Yankee Rose (Aus) (All American {Aus}) in the G1 Golden Slipper S. a fortnight later.
Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden for James Harron Bloodstock, Newgate Stud and partners, Capitalist has registered a pair of victorious barrier trials on the comeback trail, including a defeat of fellow 'Rising Star' and GSW El Divino (Aus) (Snitzel {Aus}) at Randwick July 29.
