Banke, O'Farrell Elected to The Jockey Club Board of Stewards

Barbara Banke and J. Michael O'Farrell have been elected to The Jockey Club's board of stewards, filling expired positions previously held be Stella F. Thayer and Peter S. Willmott. Banke is the owner of leading Lexington-based racing and breeding operation Stonestreet Stables. She is also the proprietor of Jackson Family Wines in Santa Rosa, CA. A member of The Jockey Club since 2013, she serves on the boards of the Breeders' Cup, TOBA and the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame. O'Farrell owns and operates Ocala, FL's historic Ocala Stud, the oldest active Florida Thoroughbred farm and a prominent breeder and consignor. The chairman of Ocala Breeders' Sales Company, O'Farrell has served on a variety of boards, including Breeders' Cup Ltd., TOBA, the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders' and Owners' Association and Florida Equine Publications.
