Winx (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}), Australia's highest-rated racehorse, will trial at Warwick Farm on Friday after missing last weekend's G2 Chelmsford S. due to the heavy going. The 5-year-old is now preparing for the G1 George Main S. Sept. 17.
“I think going to Warwick Farm and trialing against other horses will be more stimulating than just a gallop on her own between races,” trainer Chris Waller told Racing.com. “She doesn't need to do too much but I think trialing will ensure she isn't so fresh going to the George Main S.”
“Going into the gates and having other horses around her just makes it a little more competitive,” Waller added. “She is ticking along nicely, we are all very pleased with her condition.”
