The Thoroughbred Club has announced its program of workshops for its Careers Course Nov. 14 and 15 at Tattersalls.
The course, aimed at those seeking employment in the Thoroughbred industry or those looking to try out a new sector, will have plenary sessions including The Breeding Industry; The Industry's Supporting Services; Racehorse Training; Industry Administration Services; Media; and Continued Professional Development and Education. More in-depth workshops will be offered in a variety of areas including stud farms; bloodstock agents; stallion nominations and marketing; veterinary services; sales prep and consignment; nutrition and land management; racing yard and training; and pre-training. External visits during the course will include Juddmonte Farms' Banstead Manor Stud; Longholes rehabilitation and pre-training centre; trainer Roger Varian's Kremlin House Stables; and The Jockey Club's Newmarket Racecourses.
