+BONITA BIANCA (f, 2, Curlin">Curlin–Friendly Michelle {GISW, $404,544}, by Artax) showed a modest worktab for her debut, but came with a strong off-the-pace rally to graduate in a full field at Belmont. Off at a dime under 11-1 in this 12-horse group, the chestnut ran well out into the track with three horses beaten going into the far turn. Cajoled along by Irad Ortiz, Jr. midway on the bend, Bonita Bianca still had six horses to pass at the three-sixteenths pole, but began to roll past the furlong grounds and overhauled fellow firster Sand City (City Zip) late to win going away by 2 1/4 lengths. The winner's dam captured the GI Prioress S. over track and trip in 2004 and went for $1.15 million in foal to A.P. Indy at the 2006 Keeneland November sale. She has a yearling Simmard filly named Friendly Simmard and was bred to Paynter this term. Sales History: $97,000 2yo '16 OBSMAR. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $36,000.
