'TDN Rising Star' Capitalist (Aus) (Written Tycoon {Aus}) has been scratched from Saturday's G1 Coolmore Stud S. after sustaining a bone bruise. The Peter and Paul Snowden trainee, who enjoyed a highly productive 2-year-old campaign when winning the G1 Golden Slipper, the Magic Millions 2YO Classic and the Listed Breeders' Plate, has had a far from ideal go this prep, having finished fourth first-up over soft going in the G3 San Domenico S. Aug. 13 and third in the G2 Roman Consul S. Oct. 1. He was scratched from the Oct. 21 G1 Manikato S. after the going came up soft, but there is still a chance the chestnut could contest the G1 Darley Classic against older sprinters next Saturday. “We were contacted by the stable and alerted that Capitalist would be scratched after sustaining a stone bruise to his near fore foot,” Racing Victoria's chief steward Terry Bailey told Racing.com. “They are hopeful he might be okay for next week.”
