Dame du Roi, who debuted with a course-and-distance maiden win July 17, was a close-up fifth to Cavale Doree (Fr) (Sunday Break {Jpn}) in Deauville's Aug. 20 G3 Prix du Calvados before gaining a first stakes score in the Sept. 12 Listed Prix Saraca at this track once more and lined up here off a second in Saint-Cloud's Oct. 5 G3 Prix Thomas Bryon. Steadied off the pace in rear from the outset of this straight seven-furlong test, she was angled into clear runway for her bid at the quarter-mile marker and quickened smartly in the closing stages to claim a career high with plenty in hand.
