Yearling Trade Kicks Off Tatts December

Tattersalls December begins Monday | Racing Post

The single-session Tattersalls December Yearling Sale takes place today, kicking off nine days of sales set to take place at Park Paddocks in Newmarket over the next two weeks. The December Foal Sale follows the yearling sale Nov. 23 to 26, and the December Breeding Stock Sale wraps up proceedings Nov. 28 to Dec. 1. The 200 lots catalogued for the yearling sale include the progeny of perennial leading sire Galileo (Ire) and his leading first-season sire son Frankel (GB). The two Frankels are a half-brother to Australian Group 1 winner Hartnell (GB) (Authorized {Ire}) (lot 166) and a colt out of a half-sister to G1 Irish Derby winner Cape Blanco (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) (lot 177).

Galileo also has two catalogued: a colt who is the first foal out of Better Not Cry (Street Cry {Ire}), a half-sister to GI Belmont S. winners Rags To Riches (A.P. Indy) and Jazil (Seeking the Gold) out of champion broodmare Better Than Honour (Deputy Minister) (lot 165) and a colt out of GI Beverly D. S. winner Mauralakana (Fr) (Mutathir {GB}) (lot 176).

Also catalogued are siblings to Grade/Group 1 winners Gitano Hernando (GB) (Hernando {Fr}), Joshua Tree (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}), Arctic Cosmos (North Light {Ire}), Dariana (Aus) (Redoute's Choice {Aus}) and sisters Charity Line (Ire) (Manduro {Ger}), Cherry Collect (Ire) (Oratorio {Ire}) and Final Score (Ire) (Dylan Thomas {Ire}).
