QE II Runners Return in Mrs. Revere

Harmonize (Scat Daddy) and Hawksmoor (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}), second and third respectively in a tight finish with Time and Motion (Tapit) in Keeneland's GI Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup S. Oct. 15, lead a deep field for Friday's GII Mrs. Revere S. at Churchill Downs. A Grade III winner at two, Harmonize opened her sophomore season with a stakes win at Gulfstream before blowing the break and running on for third behind Catch a Glimpse (City Zip) in the course-and-distance GIII Edgewood S. May 6. Second as the favorite behind Time and Motion in Belmont's Wonder Again S. June 5, she could only manage fifth in the GI Belmont Oaks July 9, but shipped out West away from the strongest members of her division to annex the Aug. 20 GI Del Mar Oaks. Last early in the Oct. 15 QE II, she flew home to fall a head short at 10-1 while out-nosing Hawksmoor. The well-traveled Hawksmoor was in Deauville's G1 Prix Saint-Alary in May before annexing the G2 German 1000 Guineas in June. She was third by a half-length in the July 17 G2 Kilboy Estate S. at The Curragh, and attended a solid enough pace in the QE II before pulling clear at the top of the lane, only to be reeled in in the dying strides. The Lael Stables colorbearer makes her first start since being transferred from Hugo Palmer to Arnaud Delacour. Front-running Ontario-bred Caren (Society's Chairman) seeks her fifth-straight victory, but first outside of Woodbine. She annexed the Bison City S. on Tapeta July 10, and added the grassy Wonder Where S. Aug. 7. A nose winner of the GIII Ontario Colleen S. Sept. 24, she most recently annexed the restricted Carotene S. over nine furlongs of “good” ground. Lightly raced up-and-comer Shelbysmile (Smart Strike) also enters off a win in Etobicoke. A 4 1/2-length Indiana allowance scorer Oct. 12, she belied 8-1 odds to get up late in between horses in Woodbine's Nov. 5 River Memories S.
