Conquest Daddyo | Michael Burns

Conquest Daddyo (Scat Daddy), acquired for $120,000 out of the Conquest Stables disperal at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale, will make his first start for Kosta and Peter Hronis when he goes postward in Saturday's GII San Gabriel S. at Santa Anita. Now four, the dark bay colt won the 2015 GII Summer S., as well as last year's Toronto Cup S. Most recently eighth in the Oct. 8 GIII Hill Prince S. at Belmont, Conquest Daddyo worked seven furlongs in 1:26.80 last Monday for trainer John Sadler.

“He's a stakes winner in Canada, trained well and had a good work last week,” Sadler said. “We're anxious to get him started.”

Sadler also gave an update on 2015 champion 3-year-old filly Stellar Wind (Curlin), who “is on the track every day and will start breezing later this month.” The 5-year-old will be pointed towards the Mar. 18 GI Santa Margarita S.
