The 2017 Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale catalogue is now available online. There are 400 select lots to be offered over two days, Mar. 20-21, with all buyers at the sale to receive a 33% discount on the Magic Millions Race Series nomination fee to make their purchase eligible for the A$11-million plus suite of graduate races held over six states of Australia.
An additional incentive for prospective buyers is that all lots offered have been subject to the first payment for QTIS and buyers will have the opportunity to gain A$64,700 every Saturday for a metropolitan 2-year-old and 3-year-old win, as well as a further 19% boost for fillies for fully paid QTIS youngsters. Eighty-six sires are represented, with past graduate and first-season sire Spirit of Boom (Aus) (Sequalo {Aus}) leading the way with 44 yearlings. Other notable sires with yearlings catalogued, include Rothesay (Aus) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}) (31), Love Conquers All (Aus) (Mossman {Aus}) (29), Golden Archer (Aus) (Rock of Gibraltar {Ire}) and Mahisara (Aus) (More Than Ready) (16).
The unbeaten five-for-five Paradis Imperial (Aus) (Instinction {Aus}) cost just A$9,000 at the sale last year, while other graduates number top sprinters Buffering (Aus) (Mossman {Aus}) and Winning Rupert (Aus) (Written Tycoon {Aus}).
