Global Glamour Clings On

Global Glamour | Racing And Sports

The Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott trained Global Glamour (Aus) (Star Witness {Aus}) was back in the winner's enclosure following her pillar to post victory in the G2 TAB Light Fingers S. at Randwick. A dual Group 1 winner last year for her International female syndicate of owners, Global Glamour built on her encouraging run last time out when second to Flying Jess (Aus) (Hinchinbrook {Aus}) in the Listed Gold Coast Magic Millions 3YO Guineas last month but she needed the line fast as Foxplay (Aus) (Foxwedge {Aus}) flashed home under Hugh Bowman to get to within a short head of the winner. Spright (Aus) (Hinchinbrook {Aus}) kept on nicely in the closing stages to finish third behind the winning 5/4 favourite. Jockey Joshua Parr was a relieved man when the photo was announced and he told Racing And Sports, “Gai, Adrian and I thought the only way we could possibly beat these horses was to make it a proper test. She's a fit horse, a classy horse and she showed that today.”
