The Horserace Betting Levy Board's (HBLB) 2022/23 Annual Report outlined that statutory Levy income to the Board was £100 million, the highest since the Levy collection reforms of 2017. The last two months of Apr. 1, 2022 through Mar. 31, 2023 term saw bookmakers' gross profits increasing significantly on the Board's projections taking into account the actual results to that point and historic comparisons. The 2018/2019 Horserace Betting Levy Board (HLBL)'s annual report was released on Tuesday. Heider Family Stables secured the second of back-to-back pricey Tapits Monday when he scooped up hip 82 for $950,000. The half-sister to Grade II-winning juvenile Annual Report (Harlan's Holiday) was consigned by Gainesway, Agent V. Gainesway also bred the Mar. 14 foal. The sale came just one hip after West Point Thoroughbreds paid $1 million for a son of the Gainesway stalwart.
