The first reported foal by GSP Aurelius Maximus (Pioneerof the Nile-La Reina, by A.P. Indy) was born Feb. 10 at Hebert Farms in Maurice, LA. The dark bay filly was produced by the Pomeroy mare, Platinum Patty, owned by William Meaux. Platinum Patty, a $100,000 Texas 2-yr-old sale purchase, won a first asking during her juvenile season. The Louisiana-based Aurelius Maximus (Pioneerof the Nile--La Reina, by A.P. Indy) had his first mare confirmed in foal this week. The durable Pay the Man (Bernstein), owned by Montgomery Equine, is among the first book of mares for Grade II-placed Aurelius Maximus. The Ohio-bred made 76 trips to the post in nine years at the races, winning 27 times (including 21 black-type races) for earnings of $1,058,511. GSP Aurelius Maximus to Stud in Louisiana

GSP Aurelius Maximus (Pioneerof the Nile--La Reina, by A.P. Indy) has been retired from racing and will enter stud in 2021 at Jay Adcock's Red River Farm in Coushatta, Louisiana. The deal was brokered by Andrew Cary of Cary Bloodstock. The 5-year-old, who will stand in a partnership between Nathan Granger and Stonestreet Stables/George Bolton/Peter Leidel, will stand for $2,000 live foal, with consideration to approved mares.
