BBAG September Yearling Sale

The 2025 BBAG September Yearling Sale catalogue, featuring siblings to several Classic winners spread across Germany and Italy, is now online. Set for Friday, September 5 at 10 a.m., the sale has attracted 210 yearlings, with 51% of the catalogue either out of black-type mares or  full- or half-siblings to black-type horses. Last year's Deutsches Derby winner Fantastic Moon (Ger) will stand at Gestut Ebbesloh next season, Nadine Siepmann, co-founder of ownership syndicate Liberty Racing, announced on Sunday. The son of Sea The Moon (Ger) will retire following his appearance in the G1 Japan Cup at Tokyo on Sunday, November 24. The sales action rolls on to Baden-Baden this Friday for Germany's major yearling auction, the BBAG September Sale. If the talk in the build-up is to be believed then there will be more overseas visitors than ever landing at Karlsruhe airport to make the short journey to the sales grounds and its neighbouring racecourse during a lively week of action in both spheres.
