The BBAG Spring Online Sale catalogue was revealed on Tuesday. Featuring 40 lots, including eight juveniles, 28 horses-in-training and four broodmares, the sale will begin on June 3 at noon and end at 4 p.m. local time on June 5. Darius Racing and Michael Motschmann's hitherto undefeated Gostam (Saxon Warrior) punched his ticket to, and was installed as the new ante-post favourite for, July's G1 Deutsches Derby after a fourth straight career victory in Friday's G2 Wettstar Bavarian Classic at Munich. The catalogue for the fifth edition of the BBAG Christmas Online Sale is now available. Set to begin on Friday, November 21 at noon, the sale will end on Sunday, November 23 at 2 p.m. local time. The mixed sale features 59 horses divided between 27 three-year-olds and older horses, eight juveniles, 16 broodmares, seven yearlings and one foal. The broodmares are in foal to stallion like Churchill, Fantastic Moon, Neatico, Northern Ruler, Sea The Moon and Alter Adler. Supplements may be added through Wednesday, November 19.

The BBAG October Sale concluded in Germany on Saturday, with lot 294, a Japan colt already named Pace, topping the session when going the way of owner Ahmad Al Shaikh for €43,000. Consigned by Gestut Etzean, Pace is out of the Maxios mare Pray, who is the dam of two winners from as many runners to date. Pray, in turn, is out of the Listed winner and multiple Group-placed Paraisa (Red Ransom), a half-sister to the G1 Premio Roma scorer Potemkin (New Approach) and G2 Oettingen Rennen hero Penalty (Frankel)....

The two-day BBAG October Sale kicked off in Germany on Friday with lot 101, a chestnut filly by Torquator Tasso, selling for €110,000 to A-Turf. Consigned by Gestut Hof Ittlingen, the daughter of Lucy Lou (Soldier Hollow) is a half-sister to €200,000 Ferdinand Leisten Memorial BBAG Auktionsrennen hero Loucas (Best Solution). The duo are from the extended family of G1 German Derby hero and sire Lando. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that eight days after this year's BBAG Yearling Sale, the team behind the German sales company could be celebrating a British Classic winner.  Already runner-up in the Derby and third in the Irish Derby, Lazy Griff is now being aimed at the St Leger on September 13. After getting the yearling sale season up and running in style when selling two colts for significant profit at the Premier Yearling Sale at Goffs UK, Hetty Spencer is optimistic about keeping the momentum going at Baden-Baden, where the young consignor will offer one of the biggest drafts at BBAG.  The English native, who is now based in Ireland, set up her own consignment last year. Lazio, third in both the G1 Deutsches Derby and the G1 Grosser Dallmayr-Preis, is one of 30 lots catalogued for the BBAG August Online Auction. The son of Make Believe will be consigned by Waldemar Hickst. BBAG Auktionsrennen hero Warren Hill (Churchill) is also set to sell from the yard of Henk Grewe. The auction will run from August 13 at noon to August 15 at 3 p.m., with lots closing in two-minute increments. Entries will still be accepted through Monday, August 11.

The 2025 BBAG September Yearling Sale catalogue, featuring siblings to several Classic winners spread across Germany and Italy, is now online. Set for Friday, September 5 at 10 a.m., the sale has attracted 210 yearlings, with 51% of the catalogue either out of black-type mares or  full- or half-siblings to black-type horses. There are also 28 siblings to group winners ready to go under the hammer, while all yearlings are nominated for the 19 BBAG auction races. Consigned by owner Holger Renz, the Guiliani half-brother to G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe hero Torquator Tasso was sold as a stallion prospect to stand next year at Gestut Etzean.
