Olympiad Gets First Winner in Belterra Maiden

Freshman sire Olympiad claimed his first winner as a stallion when Techwerkian went gate-to-wire in the third race at Belterra Park. Despite floating late, and with blinkers on in her third try, the 8-5 favorite comfortably got the job done for trainer Rey Hernandez and owners Rey Hernandez, Ricardo Labra, and Rhonda Cornum. She was last seen making her debut at Keeneland in April and contesting maiden claiming company at Horseshoe Indianapolis last out. American-Sourced Mares Churn Out Results at Easter

It was a stunning couple of days of trade at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, held this past Tuesday and Wednesday at the auction house's Riverside complex at Warwick Farm in Sydney. The event averaged A$371,236, a 5% increase on the last comparable sale in 2019 (last year's sale was held virtually) and was the highest since 2008.
