Louisiana To Divide Yearling And Mixed Sale During The Fall

Breeders Sales of Louisiana will hold its annual Preferred Yearling Sale on Tuesday, Sept. 1 and offer a separate mixed sale on Sunday, Oct. 11, which is a change in the format, the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association said via a release on Tuesday. The move to Sept. 1 puts that sale among the first yearling auctions of the season. A colt by Anchor Down out of the unraced Half Ours mare Solo Buena was purchased by Noble Oaks Farm for $90,000 to top Thursday's Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association's Breeders Yearling Sale. Louisiana Yearling Sale Catalogue Now Online

The Breeders Sales of Louisiana 2023 Yearling Sale followed by Mixed Session catalogue is now online on the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association (LTBA) website. The auction will be held on Thursday, Sept. 28 at the Equine Sales of Louisiana facility in Opelousas, LA. The printed catalog is in production and will be in the mail mid- to late August.
