Jay Hanley considers himself lucky to have had more than his fair share of highs in horse racing, but he has also gone through plenty of mishaps, frustrations and heartbreaks. Then there is Goodnight Olive (Ghostzapper - Salty Strike, Smart Strike), who overcame two setbacks early in her career and went on...

Coolmore Stud and Peter Brant have purchased a minority interest in Jack Christopher (Munnings), who figures to be one of the top choices in the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile on Nov. 5. A TDN Rising Star in his debut Aug. 28 at Saratoga for trainer Chad Brown, Jack Christopher followed that win up with a 2 ¾ length score in the GI Champagne at Belmont Park this past Saturday as the favorite over a quality field. There's No Cooling Off Sub-Zero's Jim Bakke

Owner Jim Bakke's experience in horse racing has been fairly typical. He started off with a small stable, didn't have much success and waited for his day to come. It looks like he's not going to have to wait any longer. Along with Gerald Isbister, Bakke is the co-owner of 'TDN Rising Star' Jack Christopher (Munnings), a Chad Brown-trained colt who brought down the house Saturday with an 8 3/4-length maiden win at Saratoga. British Idiom and Storm the Court Named Top Juveniles

Modestly bred, British Idiom (Flashback) brought only $40,000 as a Fasig-Tipton October yearling in 2018, but by the time she debuted at Saratoga in August, the chestnut had attracted powerhouse connections in Michael Dubb, The Elkstone Group, Madaket Stables and Bethlehem Stables and trainer Brad Cox. Backed to narrow favoritism in that six-furlong career bow, she pressed the pace and drew off to a 3 1/2-length score. Adding Lasix and stretching out to two turns in the GI Darley Alcibiades S. Oct. 4 at Keeneland, she was a powerful victress,...

BSW, Crow On The Board At Tatts

NEWMARKET, UK--On the one hand, their advent in Newmarket this week represented an entirely new venture in the diversifying portfolio of Bradley Weisbord and Liz Crow.
