Turfway Park Racing & Gaming has canceled its Friday and Saturday Jan. 30-31 live racing cards due to continued subzero wind chill temperatures expected in the Florence, Ky. area. Wednesday and Thursday's cards had previously been canceled amid the prolonged cold conditions, with live racing scheduled to resume Wednesday, Feb. 4. Additional information regarding makeup dates for Friday's $125,000 Wishing Well Stakes and Saturday's $125,000 Forego Stakes will be announced in the coming days. Due to impending freezing temperatures and snow forecasted, Oaklawn has made the decision to cancel its nine-race card on Sunday, Jan. 14. The Oaklawn hotel, resort, and casino will remain open.

Acting upon the recommendation of the Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission (DTRC) veterinarians in conjunction with the Horse Racing Integrity and Safety Authority's (HISA) air quality guidelines, Delaware Park has cancelled its live racing card scheduled for today, the track said in a release Thursday. Live racing is scheduled to resume tomorrow, Friday, June 30th. Poor air quality also prompted officials at JACK Thistledown and at Charles Town to call off their live racing programs Thursday.
