Cheveley Park Stud's seemingly ageless Pivotal (GB) added Group 1 winner number 31 to his haul in Australia on Saturday when the William Haggas-trained, Tom Marquand-ridden Addeybb (Ire) took the 2000 metre G1 Ranvet S. at Rosehill by a half-length. Back in third was another son of Pivotal, Godolphin's Avilius (GB). Avilius is a triple Group 1 winner himself and took this race last year. The first foal for Group 1-winning 2-year-old Unfortunately (Ire) (Society Rock {Ire}) is a colt out of Heartsong (Ire) (Kheleyf) bred by Mrs RJ Gallagher and born last week at Batsford Stud. Unfortunately won the G1 Prix Morny and G2 Prix Robert Papin at two and the G3 Renaissance S. at three. He was officially rated 117 and named champion 2-year-old in France. After standing his first season at Cheveley Park Stud, Unfortunately has moved this year to Springfield House Stud but remains under Cheveley Park's management.
