CTHS Alberta Thoroughbred Yearling Sale

The Alberta Division of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (CTHS) has launched a $60,000 incentive program which is designed to reward owners of 2-year-old Alberta-breds who graduated from the 2024 yearling sale and make their first start during the current season, the group said in a press release late on Thursday. Beginning Friday, June 27, the program offers a $1,500 payout, which will be processed and issued monthly as horses qualify. Results tabulated from the Sept. 17 Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (CTHS) Alberta Thoroughbred Yearling Sale showed hefty increases over the 2020 edition. Gross sales for the 37 yearlings sold totaled C$405,600, up from the C$327,400 for 39 yearlings last year. The median price for the sale was C$9,500, up from C$4,500 in 2020, and the average price was C$10,962, up from the C$8,394.87 reached last year.
