Classic-Winning Trainer Liam Browne Dies at 89

Liam Browne, perhaps best known for masterminding the career of the Irish 2,000 Guineas hero Dara Monarch, has died at the age of 89. Having been bought for just 5,000gns, Dara Monarch developed into one of the leading three-year-olds of the 1982 season, with his other wins including the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot when it was run as a Group 2.
