Nevertheless, the well-respected agent has a vivid memory of seeing Hip 1162 at the Bluewater Sales consignment, a May-foaled son of the stakes-placed Awesome Again mare Issues. Taking Stock: Rock Your World is Bred For Any Surface

On Wednesday on Steve Byk's radio show "At the Races," while discussing the pedigree of Gl Runhappy Santa Anita Derby winner Rock Your World (Candy Ride {Arg}), I mentioned that the undefeated colt is suited for dirt despite beginning his career successfully with two wins on grass. In fact, Rock Your World, who earned a 100 Beyer Speed Figure on the main track, is bred to handle any surface and would probably be equally as adept on all-weather. Owned by Hronis Racing and Talla Racing and trained by John Sadler,...

Delay No Bar to DeVaux Ambition

Cherie DeVaux remembers a 2-year-old by Giant's Causeway coming in one summer. He was hot and raw and really wasn't showing a lot. Then, at Palm Meadows, she breezed him on turf for the first time. Now Chad Brown has a lot of horses and DeVaux watched plenty of others that morning. And they were just breezing, after all. So it took something special to make her call her boss, away for his Christmas break, as she walked back to the car. "I'm telling you," she said. "This horse is...

So….Who's The Leading Freshman Sire of 2020: David Ingordo

Even if most racing is delayed, we're all hoping it will get underway sometime this spring or early summer, if for no other reason than so we can all find out the answer to our annual favorite question.
