Camilla Perrett has been appointed as the new chair of Discover Newmarket, succeeding the organisation's founder, Noel Byrne, who is stepping down after 10 years in the role. Since 2019, Perrett has worked for Great British Racing International (GBRI), the industry body responsible for growing global investment into British horse racing. The National Stud in Newmarket has reopened its doors for guided tours for the season. Through Discover Newmarket, visitors can visit the 500-acre site in the heart of Britain's racing and breeding community with a chance to meet the mares, foals and four resident stallions, including the great stayer Stradivarius (Ire) and new arrival Bradsell (GB). Kirsten Rausing's Lanwades Stud will be open to visitors for a full-day tour through Discover Newmarket on Thursday, May 16, the tourism organisation announced on Thursday.
