StrideSAFE Buys Australia's StrideMaster, Manufacturing To Relocate To Lexington

StrideSAFE has reached an agreement with the shareholders of StrideMaster to acquire 100% of the Australian company, a strategic move that will transfer sensor production from Australia to Kentucky, the company said in a Friday press release. Besides obvious cost efficiency, relocation of manufacturing to Lexington will also advance StrideSAFE's goal of fast-tracking production of stand-alone sensor systems specifically for use by trainers and veterinarians to monitor horses breezing. A research team associated with StrideSAFE, the biometric sensor mechanism capable of detecting minute changes in a horse's gait at high speed, concluded that the majority of the recent musculoskeletal fatalities at Churchill Downs were due to pre-existing conditions.
