Fasig-Tipton Digital's Midsummer Flash Sale concluded Thursday afternoon with the two offerings both sold for a combined gross of $830,000. The first offering, Hip 1, MGSW & GISP Emmanuel (More Than Ready), sold for $500,000 to trainer Michael Maker. Dawson Guhle has been appointed general manager of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society, Alberta Division, effective Sept. 3. Dawson initially established himself as a Thoroughbred breeder with the purchase of two mares at a 2012 Fasig-Tipton sale and had considerable success consigning their foals to his first CTHS Alberta Sale in 2014. Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 300 entries for its New York Bred Yearlings sale, scheduled for Sunday and Monday, Aug. 11 and 12, in the Humphrey S.
