Two-time graded winner and track-record setter Disco Partner (Disco Rico--Lulu's Number, by Numerous) was represented by his first foal when Plenty of Chrome (Big Drama) produced a filly at Rockridge Stud in New York, stallion home of Disco Partner. Laurina Tops Third and Final Session of Tattersalls Ireland

The third and final session of the Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale was topped by the wildcard Laurina (Fr) (Spanish Moon) (lot 801A). A Grade 1-winning daughter of Lamboghina (Ger) (Alkalde {Ger}) over jumps, the Ballincurrig House Stud-consigned 7-year-old was knocked down for €290,000 to Ridgewood Stud. Al Shaqab Racing's Haras de Bouquetot featured heavily among the top lots on the fourth and final day of the Arqana December Breeding Stock Sale in Deauville. Arqana Releases December Breeding Stock Catalogue

The Dec. 5-8 Arqana December Breeding Stock Sale's catalogue is now online. A total of 841 mares, fillies and foals will go through the ring in early December, with sessions beginning at 10 a.m. each day. Highlighting the sale are 53 half-sisters to Group 1 winners. Arqana NH Breeding Stock Session Catalogue Out

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the National Hunt foals, fillies and broodmares that usually sell at the Arqana December Breeding Stock Sale will now have their own separate session on Nov. 19, and the catalogue is now available. Selling that day are 161 horses after three days of National Hunt horses-in-training, 2-year-old stores, and NH yearlings on Nov. 16-18. There will also be a 23-lot dispersal of Haras de la Croix Sonnet among the breeding stock. Online bidding will be available at www.arqanaonline.com.

First Roaring Lion Foal Born

The first foal from the lone crop of 2018 Cartier Horse of the Year Roaring Lion (Kitten's Joy), a colt, was born on Jan. 11 at Jeffrey and Phoebe Hobby's Brightwalton Stud in Newbury.
