Kalypso Headed to Japan

Kalypso (Brody's Cause) (hip 192), last year's GI La Brea S. winner, got the broodmare portion of Fasig-Tipton's Night of the Stars going in earnest when bringing $2.1 from Japan's Katsumi Yoshida. Norton Named Gainesway Stallion Director

Ryan Norton, who previously served as stallion director at Darby Dan Farm, has been named the new stallion director at Gainesway, the farm announced Thursday. Norton had been at Darby Dan since 2002, starting in the sales division before being named stallion director in 2005. Larry Walton has been named as the new Stallion Manager of Gainesway, the farm announced Monday. Walton, a native of Wall Township, New Jersey, received his bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from The Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn State) in 2001. Was it divine intervention? As the story goes, sometime in late 1923 or early 1924, a Kentucky pastor, Rev.
