The two transplanted Englishmen were road-tripping down the East Coast to Central Florida Wednesday, with Esler's wife and daughter expected to follow next week. International Glory For Ghaiyyath

Godolphin's Ghaiyyath (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) continues to go from strength to strength and only had to go about his usual business to add Wednesday's star-studded G1 Juddmonte International to his G1 Coronation Cup and G1 Eclipse S. triumphs. Always content on the front end with William Buick holding on to something, the 11-8 favourite was brought up the centre of the home straight and stayed out of reach of Magical (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) to win by three lengths, with Lord North (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) 1 1/4 lengths away in third....

Ghaiyyath One of Six in Juddmonte International

Godolphin's MG1SW Ghaiyyath (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}), who defeated dual G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe heroine Enable (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}) when last seen in the G1 Coral-Eclipse S. at Sandown in early July, faces just five opponents in the G1 Juddmonte International S. at York on Aug. 19. However, four of the quintet have also won at the highest level. Ghaiyyath faces the Qatar Racing pair of MG1SW Kameko (Kitten's Joy), who won the G1 QIPCO 2000 Guineas this term, as well as G3 Musidora S. heroine Rose of Kildare...

Hard Spun's Antoinette Upsets Saratoga Oaks

Godolphin homebred Antoinette (Hard Spun) made all the running in Sunday's $500,000 Saratoga Oaks Invitational S. to more than double her bankroll with a half-length victory over Stunning Sky (Declaration of War). A second-out winner on the Belmont grass last October, the Bill Mott pupil took Aqueduct's rained-off Tepin S. in December. That effort likely had her connections thinking GI Kentucky Oaks, and she resurfaced to be third in the GII Fair Grounds Oaks Mar. 21 behind Saturday's GI Alabama S. runner-up Bonny South (Munnings). Third again when favored in...

Earthlight To Go Up In Trip

Godolphin's G1 Middle Park S. winner Earthlight (Ire) (Shamardal), who lost his unbeaten record when fourth in last weekend's G1 Prix Maurice de Gheest going 6 1/2 furlongs, will step up to seven furlongs next out in the G3 Prix du Pin at ParisLongchamp on Sept. 13, said trainer Andre Fabre. Earthlight had been under consideration for the mile Classics but missed out after suffering a setback early in the season. The TIEA Awards: Goodness Wins Out

While Terry Finley had nominated employees for the Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards, Presented by Godolphin, in the past, he had never been a judge until 2019. The experience, he said, was one of the most positive and affirming things he has ever experienced in the Thoroughbred industry. "On a personal level, one of the things that struck me was when they got down to the final five people, and when they came in to be in front of the judges and had a chance to deliver their story, it was...

Maurice de Gheest Glory For Dubawi's Space Blues

Godolphin had two livewires in a renewal of Deauville's G1 LARC Prix Maurice de Gheest that looked well up to standard but also tough to call and it was the white cap of the second-string Space Blues (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) that emerged on top in a thriller. Third in this 6 1/2-furlong feature 12 months ago, the Charlie Appleby representative had yet to win over this short a trip but gave all the right signals with the way he travelled through the seven-furlong G2 Lennox S. when registering a career-best...
