Godolphin's 14-strong draft took the four top spots during Tuesday's Tattersalls Ascot June Sale. The dearest of them all was lot 48, the four-time winner Silent Film (GB) (New Approach {Ire}), who went to Ian Williams Racing for £120,000. One of two lots to make six figures on the day, the gelding is rated 100. Williams was the sale's leading buyer. The rematch between Mawj (Ire) (Exceed And Excel {Aus}) and Tahiyra (Ire) (Siyouni {Fr}) is on at Royal Ascot after Dermot Weld described the latter to have come out of her Irish 1,000 Guineas romp in splendid order. Mawj had just a half a length to spare from Tahiyra in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket and, after Tahiyra made little fuss in the Godolphin filly's absence at the Curragh, a mouthwatering rematch between the Classic winners could take place in the G1 Coronation S. at the royal meeting. Speaking at...

Third at Wolverhampton in her debut in February, she won a 10-furlong Chelmsford maiden later that month. At Lingfield, she defeated another potential Oaks starter in the Group 3-placed Be Happy (Ire) (Camelot {GB}),...
After consulting with the 1/ST veterinary team, Godolphin will scratch First Mission (Street Sense) from this year's GI Preakness S., the organization said in a release early on Friday morning. The dark bay colt will receive further evaluation in Kentucky at Rood and Riddle hospital with Dr. Larry Bramlage. Brad Cox worked with the 1/ST veterinary team the last couple of days to try and fully identify a left hind issue, but were unable to do so on the grounds at Pimlico. Godolphin's Director of Bloodstock, Michael Banahan said, "We...
From Pretty Mischievous (Into Mischief) getting Godolphin their first win in the GI Kentucky Oaks on Friday to Matareya (Pioneerof the Nile) and Cody's Wish (Curlin) both coming home with Grade I scores on Saturday, the first weekend in May was one for the books for Godolphin USA. The global racing powerhouse is coming off back-to-back Eclipse Awards for Outstanding Owner and Breeder, but Godolphin USA's Director of Bloodstock Michael Banahan said that this year's Derby weekend ranks near the top of the list of great weekends for the American...

"He bounced out of it in good shape and he's got a lot of talent. I'm looking forward to giving him a swing at a Grade I." Runner...
DEAUVILLE, France--Close to €38 million had already been spent on juveniles at the four breeze-up sales in Europe to have preceded Arqana, and that figure has now risen to around €59 million following a bullish day of trading in Deauville. Featuring the season's only seven-figure breezer and with a much larger catalogue than usual, it was no surprise to see turnover increase, though a near-50% upturn was perhaps even better than anticipated, with the 140 sold bringing in a total of €21,110,500 to ring the new record bell. Other indicators...
The fireworks continued at Arqana in the evening, as an Oak Tree Farm-consigned Dubawi (Ire) colt (lot 180) made €800,000 on the bid of Godolphin. He set the seal on a Lingfield Trials double for the Godolphin-Appleby-Buick triumvirate with a 1 1/4-length success from impressive Newmarket winner Waipiro (Ire) (Australia {GB}), with The King's Listed Newmarket S. runner-up Circle Of Fire (GB) (Almanzor {Fr}) trailing home 4 1/4 lengths adrift in third....
Godolphin's Eternal Hope (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}--Voice Of Truth {Ire}, by Dubawi {Ire}) does not possess a ticket for next month's G1 Oaks, but qualifies to be one of the first in line for the supplementary stage after a stylish victory in Saturday's Listed Fitzdares Oaks Trial at Lingfield. She had yet to make a start on the turf and continued that trend after the day's stakes contests were switched to the track's synthetic surface. The homebred chestnut, untested as a juvenile, followed up a Feb. 13 debut third tackling an...
