At the close of business, 160 yearlings had sold for an average of $629,469 and median of $450,000--numbers which dwarfed records set just last year when 154 yearlings grossed $82,160,000 for an average of $533,506 and a median of $425,000. With the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale just minutes old, multiple graded winner Midnight Memories (Mastery) became the nine-day auction's first seven-figure offering when selling for $1.45 million to Katsumi Yoshida. Adare Manor (Uncle Mo) (hip 214) joined a string of high-class mares heading to Japan after selling for $2.8 million to Katsumi Yoshida Monday at Fasig-Tipton.
