Enhanced Photo-Finish Technology for Irish Racing

Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) has upgraded the equipment and technology used to determine the outcome of photo finishes at all 26 racecourses across Ireland. From next week's Punchestown Festival there will be 12 state-of-the-art photo-finish cameras in use along with a number of large 4K ultra high-definition screens, which will be used to evaluate results. Three Irish EBF Barrier Trial Dates Announced for 2025

The Irish EBF Barrier Trials are soon to return with three dates approved from May to August, Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) announced on Wednesday. Naas will again host the first day on Monday, May 26 on the inside track over six and seven furlongs, with Dundalk staging the middle fixture on Monday, July 7. The final date is set for Leopardstown on Wednesday, August 27, again over six and seven furlongs. HRI Announce Increases in Attendances and On-Course Betting in 2024

Full-year statistics for 2024, released on Thursday by Horse Racing Ireland (HRI), showed increases in the key metrics of attendances, commercial sponsorship and on-course betting. Attendance figures for the first six months of 2024 were 1.5% behind the corresponding period of 2023, which HRI attributed to a combination of bad weather, adverse ground conditions and an extraordinary number of rescheduled fixtures. Coursetrack Tracking Data Implemented At All Irish Racecourses

Coursetrack, the live, in-race timing information system, is now in place at all 26 Irish racecourses, Racecourse Media Group (RMG) announced on Friday. A new series of races designed to spread investment in Irish National Hunt racing was announced by Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) on Thursday.
