Thurles Racecourse will continue to operate through March 2027, following discussions between Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) and Thurles Racing Company. The ITBA Next Generation has announced the introduction of the ITBA Next Generation Breeders' Grant, sponsored by Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) and the Irish EBF. Strong Attendance Reported For HRI-Backed Training Workshops

Horse Racing Ireland CEO Suzanne Eade has pointed to Irish racing being "in good health" after statistics released for 2025 showed increases in racecourse attendances, on-course betting and sponsorship. All-Weather Track at Tipperary Receives Government Go-Ahead

Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) has received approval from the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Martin Heydon TD, to proceed with the development of a second all-weather track in Ireland at Tipperary Racecourse. Racing will take place in Ireland on Good Friday for the first time in 2026, with the Curragh set to stage a fixture on April 3.
