The Irish Equine Veterinary Association (IEVA) Student Day will be held by the IEVA at the Irish National Stud, Co. Kildare, on Friday, April 3. Specifically tailored for veterinary students, the day is now in its third year. The full-day programme covers a wide range of topics, including equine asthma, endocrine disease, laminitis, from both a veterinary and farriery perspective, examination of the placenta, field anaesthesia, and equine dentistry. Irish Equine Reproduction Symposium 2026 Makes Successful Return

The Irish Equine Reproductive Symposium was held after a six-year hiatus at Tinakilly Country House in Co. Wicklow on January 28-29 . Put on by the Local Organising Committee of the International Symposium on Equine Reproduction XIV (ISERXIV) in collaboration with the Irish Equine Veterinary Association (IEVA), the symposium combined a half-day of breeders' events and 1 1/2 days of veterinary conference. The three-day A Good Life Well Lived - Equine Summit ran from Monday, August 11-Wednesday, August 13 in Co Kilkenny. The second Irish Equine Veterinary Association (IEVA) CPD event, "Stud Medicines--Back to Basics", was attended by just under 70 people in Osborne Hall at the Irish National Stud (INS) on Tuesday, Apr. 2. The first of three sessions covered the many aspects of foaling, as well as getting mares in foal.
