Parx Turf Renovation to Take About Four Weeks

Parx Racing has kicked off renovations to the Philadelphia-area oval's turf course, a project that is expected to take approximately four weeks. Graded stakes winner Scaramouche (Munnings) has been retired through Turning for Home, the on-track retirement program at Parx. Scaramouche, who was purchased for $20,000 at the 2021 OBS June sale, won seven of his 30 starts for trainer Guadalupe Preciado and owner Nicholas Cammarano, Jr. His marquee win came in the 2022 GII Gallant Bob Stakes at Parx on Pennsylvania Derby Day. PTHA Celebrates Owners And Trainers Appreciation Day With Parx Card Aug. 18

The Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association (PTHA) will present the 2025 Owners and Trainers Appreciation Day on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at Parx Racing, the organization said via a Wednesday press release. PTHA Reaches Settlement Agreement On Internal Litigation

Parx Adds January 30 to Live Racing Schedule

With the recent winter weather-related cancellations, Parx Racing, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association (PTHA), will offer live racing on Thursday, Jan. 30 in an effort to reschedule days which have been lost due to adverse conditions, the groups announced jointly Friday afternoon. Owner-Exercise Rider Found With Electrical Device And Illegal Drugs At Parx
