The Week in Review: After Setback in the House, Florida Horsemen Hunting for Solutions

   Though it was hardly a surprise that a bill that would allow decoupling at Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay Downs was advanced Tuesday by the Florida House Commerce Committee, it was not good news for the troubled Florida racing industry. Red Oak to Share the Fire at Keeneland September

The Brunetti family's Red Oak Stable, which finds itself with plenty of the family, will offer a filly by Uncle Mo (hip 45) during Monday's first session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. The yearling, consigned by Darby Dan Farm, is a half-sister to the operation's multiple Grade I-winning star Mind Control (Stay Thirsty) and to its Grade I-placed filly Goddess of Fire (Mineshaft). Red Oak Stable to Offer Unbridled Mo's First Foal at Fasig Saratoga

The first foal out of Grade I winner Unbridled Mo (Uncle Mo) is one of 210 yearlings catalogued for the 100th renewal of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearlings Sale, which will be held Aug. 9 and 10 at the Humphrey S. Finney Pavilion. The inclusion of the colt by Quality Road (hip 15) in the catalogue reflects a new business strategy for the Brunetti family's Red Oak Stable, which bred, not only the yearling, but also his multiple graded-stakes winning dam.
