Secretariat Center To Host Movie Night

The Secretariat Center will host "Movie Night Under the Stars," featuring the movie Dreamer Oct. 1. The event opens at 6 p.m. with the movie starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 a person and are on sale at www.secretariatcenter.org. There will be food available for purchase from Salsarita's, Mr. Gyro, and Mister Softee Ice Cream and beverages from Blue Stallion Brewery. Record-Setting Keeneland September Sale Strong to the Finish

The Keeneland September Yearling Sale, which surpassed $400-million in gross sales for the first time in its history, concluded Saturday with new records, not just for turnover, but also for average and median and with 30 seven-figure yearlings doubling the number from the 2021 auction. Keeneland September Establishes All-Time Record Gross

At the conclusion of Thursday's 10th session, the 2022 Keeneland September Yearling Sale became the highest-grossing auction in Keeneland's history with total sales weighing in at $399,940,000. The previous record of $399,791,800 was set during the 2006 September Sale. With two sessions remaining, a total of 2,488 yearlings (through the ring) have sold for $399,940,000, an increase of 14.63% over the same period last year when 2,428 horses sold grossed $348,885,500. Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge Registration Kicks Off

Registration for the 2022 Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge (BCBC) opened Thursday. In its 14th year, the challenge will crown the winner with the highest accumulated bankroll at the end of the two-day Breeders' Cup World Championships.
