The most important asset the horse industry has are the brands of the Kentucky Derby and the Triple Crown. Nothing else comes close in our dying business. Nothing in Major League Baseball, the Indy 500 or the Masters can match the number of TV viewers every year for the Derby. Five-time MLB All-Star Victor Martinez is following a dream with King Guillermo-- already a graded stakes winner who, after a seven-month layoff, is set to return to Grade I company.  King Guillermo (Uncle Mo) will be in a tough spot when he starts in the GI Cigar Mile H.at Aqueduct. U.S. Supreme Court Won't Hear $150M NJTHA Case Versus Sports Leagues

The United States Supreme Court on Monday opted not to get involved in a years-long court dispute over whether the major professional and college sports leagues owe the New Jersey Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association (NJTHA) $150 million in alleged damages. The Associated Press reported that the case now goes back to a federal court in New Jersey, where a judge will consider evidence from both sides and decide how much the leagues have to pay.
